Our admissions process is designed to be informative for parents while providing the information necessary to determine if the child should be placed at NECC-AD. The admission process includes a written application, in-center screening for the child, and interview with the family. A copy of the child’s passport and father’s passport is required to process the application. Admission criteria include:
- The child must have a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum. A copy of the diagnostic report should be provided as part of the application.
- The child’s age must be appropriate for the available seat in the program. Our Preschool classrooms serve children age 3 to 6 years and our elementary classrooms serve children age 7 to 9 years.
- Priority for admission is given to UAE Nationals.
After reviewing all information collected in the admissions process, NECC-AD makes every effort to contact families as soon as possible with a decision. In some cases though, it may take up to three to six weeks before the final decision is made and notification is delivered.
